Still

I sit still as everything moves around me.

I sit still as creation surrounds me.

I see bustling lines of people with clattering crowds of hangers.

Here, gurgling steamers come packaged with steaming anger.

There is absolutely no place for those who stop.

If you want in, you must work till you drop.

But I've found a quiet cave,

I am a stagnant puddle in the midst of roaring waves.

I have no idea how,

but it lends me a sweatless brow.

It is fascinating, truly, to observe from afar.

The plight, the joy, with nothing as fully yours.

Although, my cave is collapsing now.

It's time to dive in and drown.

Like all moments, good and bad,

this too shall be a short-lived span.
